RigVeda is the oldest veda
Hindus use the Vedas as foundational texts that guide their spiritual practices, rituals, and philosophical understanding. The Vedas, comprising four main collections—Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda—provide hymns, incantations, and instructions for various ceremonies and sacrifices. They are also a source of knowledge regarding cosmology, ethics, and the nature of the divine. Many Hindus study the Vedas to deepen their understanding of dharma (righteousness) and their relationship with the universe.
Rigved is one of the early Holy scriptures of the Hindus. Parts of it are recited as prayers and during festivals and religious occasions.

I treat them with reverence; as important texts with origins arguably dating before any other world scriptures, and which were instrumental in the development of my religion (and quite possibly many other religions). Honestly, I can get more meaning and insight out of the Upanishads most times than out of much of the Vedas, but that could just be where I'm at now.
