If the Ice Age had not ended when it did, ancient America might have remained largely uninhabited or sparsely populated, as the harsh, cold climate would have limited the development of agriculture and permanent settlements. The persistence of glaciers could have restricted migration patterns and the movement of various species, impacting the biodiversity of the continent. Additionally, the cultural and technological advancements of Indigenous peoples may have been delayed, altering the trajectory of human history in the Americas. Overall, the ecological and social landscapes of ancient America would likely have been profoundly different.
If the Ice Age had not ended, ancient America would likely have experienced drastically different ecosystems, with vast tundra and ice-covered regions dominating the landscape. Consequently, the cultural and technological advancements of Indigenous peoples could have evolved in unique ways, leading to a fundamentally different historical trajectory for the continent.
