Achilles was believed to be around 15 or 16 years old when he joined the Trojan War.
Quite young. About the same age as Achilles when he started fighting in the Trojan war. Achilles was about 18 - 24 years old. Odysseus was perhaps a little older.
According to Greek mythology, Achilles died at the age of 27. He was born to the mortal Peleus and the sea nymph Thetis, and his fate was foretold to be a short but glorious life. Achilles is best known for his role in the Trojan War, where he was ultimately killed by an arrow to his heel, his only vulnerable spot.
The Trojan War happened near the end of the Greek Bronze Age, sometime between 1260 and 1884 BC.

It almost certainly does, though since the Trojan War occurred during the Bronze Age, when the lines between history and myth become blurred, it's difficult to say what the exact circumstances were. We do know there was a city of Troy (long though to be a myth in and of itself) and that Agamemnon and Menelaus were indeed kings of Mycenae and Sparta. Aside from its depiction of Achilles as a sword-for-hire, and Agamemnon as power hungry King bent on world domination, I think the movie Troy presents an interesting take on the Iliad story without any religious interference.

Yes.
Achilles was a prominent figure in Greek mythology and the central character in Homer's epic poem, the Iliad. His story is set during the Trojan War in the Bronze Age, around the 12th century BC. Achilles was a heroic warrior known for his exceptional strength and combat skills. He played a crucial role in the war but was ultimately killed by an arrow shot by Paris, guided by Apollo, which struck his heel – his only vulnerable spot.

Shortly after the Trojan war (bronze age) Gemini are the twins Castor and Pollux
Achilles didn't have "special troops". He was king of the Myrmidons, a warrior tribe that was essentially the bronze age version of the Spartans of the Classical Age. They weren't special, they just put special emphasis on war as a lifestyle, which made them particularly good at it.
The Trojan War was one of the last major conflicts of the Greek Bronze Age. It established Greece as the dominant force in the Eastern (and really the whole of ) the Mediterranean (since the Minoans were already diminished). This would be true until the rise of the Persians.
