This sory starts with King Acrisius, who is afraid of getting a grandson by his daughter Danae. She is visited by Zeus and gives birth to Perseus. Acrisius puts these two in an old boat on the Mediterranean, hoping the will drown. Eventually they find themselves in the palace of King Polydectes, who wants to get rid of Perseus (now a grown man) in order to woo Danae. So he sends Perseus on a misson to kill Medusa, the terrible monster. and so on.
well, after the hero Perseus got through slaying the gorgon, Medusa, he rested in the garden of the Hespirides for the night. Atlas was warned that one day a son of Zeus would steal a golden apple from his tree, Atlas assumed that Perseus was the hero of the prophecy, although Perseus WAS a son of Zeus, the prophecy wasn't mentioning Perseus. Perseus saw Atlas and the two began to fight, after fighting for a while, Perseus brought out the head of Medusa, which turned Atlas to stone, and making him a tall mountain, which we know today, as the Atlas Mtns. The hero of the prophecy was ACTUALLY mentioning Hercules, who came a little while after, while he was on his quest to do the 12 impossible tasks.
The main character to the famous story and the two movies "Clash of the Titans" is Perseus. Perseus is a demi-god, son of the god Zeus and the princess Danae. The problem with the second "Clash of the Titans" movie is that they make Perseus look too much like a tough guy than he really is. In the first "Clash of the Titan" movie they give a good idea of what Perseus looked like but the effect is what made the second movie better.
Perseus kills one of them (Medusa). The other two persue Perseus but fail to find him as he is wearing the Helm of Darkness.
Perseus killed the Gorgon Medusa and the sea monster that was about to devour the beautiful Andromeda.
