Back then, before toilets have been invented, people used outhouses, chamber pots, honey buckets, and holes in the ground. After using such means, people usually have to clear them, and there in the past in the olden days, there is a job specially created to clear such buckets, chamber pots and such.
the people also used ditches and buckets and just anything they could go in but now we have the toilets we use now.
