It's kind of difficult to answer this, because that's generally not how pantheism works.
Either Huitzilopoctli (a creator god, and the one who supposedly led them to their capital city) or Quetzlcoatal (another creator god, and the patron of rulers) would be good choices. Other candidates would be Tezcatlipoca (another creator god, but usually regarded as evil) or Xipe Totec (yet another creator god... Aztec mythology was a bit, shall we say, complex).
The Aztecs were polytheists. It is believed their chief deity was Quetzalcoatl, the creator sky god. Huizilopochtli was another chief deity who was the grand deity of Tenochtitlan.
Tenochtitlan
Huitzilopochtli was the patron god of the Aztecs.
Huitzilopochtli("hummingbird wizard,)" the native and chief god of the Tenochca, Huitzilopochtli was the war and sun god)Tezcatlipoca ("Smoking Mirror," chief god of the Aztecs in general)Quetzalcoatl ("Sovereign Plumed Serpent," widely worshiped throughout Mesoamerica and the god of civilization, the priest hood, and learning).
The best that historians can do is to offer the name Acmapichtli as being the first chief of the Aztecs. His name means "Handful of Arrows or Reeds." He ruled from about 1376 to 1395.

Because the Aztecs thought that Huitzilopochtli (chief god) required human blood for survival.

who
Quetzalcoatl is the chief god of the Aztecs. He appears as a feathered or winged serpent, symbolizing his solidarity with the earth and the sky.Actually, Huitzilopochtli was the Aztec God of War. While Quetzalcoatl played a major role in the Aztec deity, Huitzilopochtli was the God to whom the Aztecs made sacrifice on a daily basis. This is why the Aztecs constantly had to engage in "las guerras floridas" to bring other native tribes into subjugation so that they could be sacrificed for this God. See this link: huitzilopochtli
