In the story of Ragnarök, Loki kills and is killed by the god Heimdall.
Well he is known for his bad reputation. But Thor would have never gotten his hammer back if Loki had not dressed up as a woman with him. ^_^ It's a long and very funny story. Thor had to dress as Freya and marry a Jotun and Loki went with him as his bridesmaid. I think that counts as something, helping out his brother in need.

In the story of Ragnarök, Loki kills and is killed by the god Heimdall.
The most prominent story of Loki is his trick on Hoder. Some of the gods often bully Baldur. Importantly, Baldur is the god of light and joy, and is completely invincible, with the exception of Mistletoe. Loki convinces Hoder, who is blind, to join in on the bullying of Baldur. Hoder believes he is tossing a twig at Baldur, but the twig is a speak tipped with Mistletoe, that was handed to Hoder by Loki. As punishment, Loki is chained to a rock and serpents drip poison on him.
