As he was leaving, he found a Diamond Sword and a shiny Shield. He found after several days, Medusa's Lair where he defeated her by looking at her reflection in his shield. He took its' head and flew, using a Pegasus to rescue Andromeda. He reached her just as the Kraken arose. He made the Kraken look at Medusa's head and turned the Powerful Sea Monster into stone. He went back to the City to live with Andromeda and her family. I have taken the actual myth and put into simpler words, but it is pretty accurate
