I statue of Osiris, the Egyptian god of the dead, was found in Tomb KV 5. This is the tomb of the sons of Ramesses II.
Anubis took part in the myth of Isis and Osiris; he helped Isis to wrap the body of Osiris and some say that Osiris had been killed by Set, Osiris' organs were given to Anubis as a gift (hence his becoming a god of embalmers).
The temple of Osiris, known as the Osireion, is located in Abydos, Egypt. It was part of a larger complex dedicated to Osiris, the ancient Egyptian god of the afterlife and resurrection. The site was particularly significant as it was believed to be the burial place of Osiris and served as a center for worship and pilgrimage in ancient times.
The most well known myth involving Anubis was a part of the story of Isis and Osiris, when Set dismembers the body of Osiris and Isis gathers the pieces and puts them under the protection of Anubis who guards and protects the body, later wrapping it to help in resurrecting Osiris.
Anubis's brother is typically considered to be Osiris in ancient Egyptian mythology. Osiris is the god of the afterlife, resurrection, and agriculture, while Anubis is associated with mummification and the protection of the dead. They are part of a larger family of deities that includes their sister, Isis, and their brother, Seth, who is often depicted as a rival to Osiris.
No Osiris does not exist

Set tricked Osiris into a box and sealed him in it. Then he took his heart out and threw him in the Nile. Isis found out and brought him back to life ........true story.

I believe the statue is Osiris.
Isis and Osiris were among the most important and worshiped deities in the Egyptian pantheon. They were husband and wife and brother and sister and loved each other very much. They had a son - Horus whose uncle Seth (Osiris's brother) was very evil. He envied Osiris and wanted to kill him. Set convinced Osiris to go into a coffin as part of some ritual. Then he sealed the coffin and threw it into the river Nile. When Isis found out what happened she got really sad and tried to rescue her husband. He was dead but Thoth (the god of wisdom) managed to help Osiris and made him a ruler of the Afterlife (because of his resurrection).
Osiris was torn apart by Set because Set was angry that someone had found Osiris and might revive him; if Osiris had returned whole from death than Set would have had to give back the throne of Egypt.
Yes, Set killed Osiris and sent him into the Nile river. when isis found osiris, set chopped him up and put him back in the nile river. that other guy that answered was stupid.
