For instance, when he returned to Olympus after being cast out by Hera, his mother, he made his revenge by creating for her a golden throne that when she sat on it, she couldn't get up again. He also made the thunderbolts of Zeus (along with the Cyclopes) and created the armor of Achilles, among others.
