As they went further, they ran into a lot of Hellenic cities, and thinking them the same people, called them the Great Graeci (Greeks). The name has stuck, but the 'reeks' today still think of themselves a Hellenes.

The Etruscans were a civilization that lived on the northern part of the Italian Peninsula. They were the people who founded Rome. Later, the Romans revolted from them.
The Iberian Peninsula is much larger than the Italian Peninsula. The Iberian Peninsula is about 590,000 km2 in area, while the Italian Peninsula is only about 300,000 km2 in area.
