This is when Pizarro captured the Emperor in 1532. Pizarro did this will less than 200 men when he convinced the Emperor to eat with him and than fired against the man who was unarmed.
Francisco Pizarro, a Spanish conquistador, interacted with the Incas primarily through conquest and colonization in the 16th century. He captured the Inca emperor Atahualpa in 1532 during a surprise attack, leveraging a combination of superior weaponry and strategic alliances with rival indigenous groups. Following Atahualpa's execution, Pizarro seized control of the Inca Empire, leading to significant upheaval, the plundering of wealth, and the eventual establishment of Spanish colonial rule in Peru. This interaction resulted in devastating consequences for the Inca civilization, including population decline due to disease and warfare.
Who was Francisco Pizarro and how did he help end the Incas civilization
The Incas were a well civilized race, however they still had their downfalls. The man who conquered this fierce tribe was Pizarro. He didn't just conquer them with pure force though. Before Pizarro arrived a great civil war had occurred, leaving the Inca military weak, which made it easy for Pizarro to destroy them. Pizarro had taken Atahualpa, the Incan leader, captive. The incas bribed Pizarro with a room filled with gold for Atahualpa, however once Pizarro received it he still ordered that Atahualpa to be killed. It took Pizarro approximately 40 more years until the last Inca was killed, his name was Tupac Amaru, Pizarro ordered that his body be dismembered to stop any further Inca resistance.

Pizarro's first expedition was to the colony of Tierra Firme (present-day Panama) in 1513. He participated in the expedition led by Vasco Núñez de Balboa, which resulted in the discovery of the Pacific Ocean by Europeans.
Atahualpa's entrance into Cajamarca in 1532 was a grand and dramatic event. He arrived with a large retinue of warriors and adorned in elaborate clothing and jewelry, showcasing his status as the Inca emperor. His entrance was marked by a mixture of awe and tension, as it coincided with the arrival of Spanish conquistadors led by Francisco Pizarro, who were eager to capture him and seize the wealth of the Inca Empire. The encounter ultimately led to Atahualpa's capture and the beginning of the Spanish conquest of Peru.
