∙ 11y agoThe people who stayed in inns in Roman times were generally the poor to middle class. The inns were notorious for their cheating, robbery and fleas. The wealthy either made arrangements to stay with friends on their travels or traveled with a sleeping wagon, so as not to have to spend a night in one of the inns.
