Hera, the Greek goddess of marriage and family, was raised by the Titaness Rhea and her husband Cronus. After Cronus swallowed his children to prevent them from overthrowing him, Rhea saved Hera by hiding her away and giving Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes instead.
