Athens had more shipbuilders than Sparta due to its focus on naval power and trade. As a leading maritime city-state, Athens invested heavily in its navy, especially during the Persian Wars, leading to the construction of advanced triremes. In contrast, Sparta prioritized its land-based military and focused on infantry training, resulting in minimal naval development. Thus, Athens was the clear leader in shipbuilding.
The most famous city states in ancient Greece were Athens and Sparta. Dont think of Greece as a single country, they never were, more like every city having its own rules laws and independance from all others occasionally some would be able to influence others with military alliances and such but all were very independent.
I think so because they traded with a lot of different places.
All did, for survival. Sparta was exclusively devoted to it.
Athens' feelings towards Sparta could differ from person to person and most important from time period to time period. For example, the story of the Battle of Thermopylae was considered very heroic but sometimes Spartan culture was made fun of in plays but in the same play Spartans could be seen as admirable (Aristophanes' Lysistrata, for example). Also, of course, if Athens was at war with Sparta, they would have a much different opinion of them. But one thing that they were very known for was the fact that they were supposed to be very brief with their words with a dry wit, the etymology for the word "laconic" is a reference to Sparta.
After defeating Persia, Athens and Sparta initially maintained a fragile alliance, known as the Hellenic League. However, their differing political systems and rival ambitions quickly led to tensions. Athens pursued a more imperialistic agenda with the Delian League, while Sparta favored a more conservative, oligarchic approach. This discord ultimately culminated in the Peloponnesian War, marking the end of their alliance.

Who is they. The citizens of Sparta lived in Sparta. The citizens of Athens lived in Athns. Each preferred their own city, which is why they were citizens of that city.
In academics, Athens was better. When it came to fighting, Sparta was better.
Not totally sure, but I think that it may be both or Sparta. Sorry, I don't know for sure. Hope it helps The book I am holding right now says Athens for sure, but doesn't say what it was for Sparta.
yes
Sparta was ruled by two hereditary kings from separate families. The kings' power was limited by a 28 member council of elders. Athens was a direct democracy meaning all of the Athenian citizens could vote on legislation.
Strong , because Athens and Sparta would be to busy fighting with each other (common sense)
i don't really think that there were empires in north Greece
I think that Athens was more directed toward money than Sparta, because they wern't directed toward war and were more about enjoying life than war.
