Hercules

The famous Greek hero who fought and killed the nine-headed Hydra is Hercules (Heracles in Greek mythology). As part of his Twelve Labors, he was tasked with defeating the Hydra, a monstrous serpent-like creature that could regenerate two heads for each one that was cut off.
