Witawamat was a Native American leader from the Massachusett tribe who played a role in King Philip's War in the 17th century. He was captured and executed by English colonists in 1676. So, in a nutshell, Witawamat was a badass warrior who fought against the colonizers but unfortunately met a pretty grim end.
