Edusius and Frumentius were early Christian missionaries in the 4th century, known for their efforts in spreading Christianity in Ethiopia. Frumentius, in particular, is recognized as the first bishop of Aksum and played a significant role in establishing the Christian faith in the region. Edusius, often considered Frumentius' companion, assisted in the missionary work that led to the eventual adoption of Christianity as the state religion of the Kingdom of Aksum. Their contributions are celebrated in Ethiopian Christian tradition.
