the reason why Poseidon sunk the city of Atlantis is that the people were so sinful that made Poseidon very angry and sent a tsunami to sink it...
the olympians feared him cuz ya know he tends to destroy stuff so he was treated wit respect
Rhea was the mother of Poseidon, and Gaea was her mother, so Poseidon's grandmother as well.
Because Odysseus blinded Poseidon's son Polyphemus, so then Polyphemus made a prayer to his father (Poseidon) so then Poseidon cursed Odysseus with a hard journey home with many [arils.
At the beginning of the Odyssey, Poseidon is in Ethiopia. That's why Athena brings up Odysseus with Zeus at that point, so that Poseidon can't interfere.

Atlantis is not a God but Poseidon's first born child's name was Atlas so the Empire and the surrounding ocean was called atlantis
Technically speaking no one actually knows whether or not Atlantis was real. However it was said to be a lost civilization that was to be far more advanced then the world today. Atlantis was said to be a whole continent. Supposedly, the Greek god Poseidon (god of water) was angry at the city and so submerged it. But what is mysterious is that Atlantis was thought to be in the Bermuda Triangle(the graveyard of the ocean). The Bermuda Triangle is a triangle with points made up of three cities Miami, San Juan PUERTO RICO and Bermuda. It is said that thousands of vessels have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle; without a trace! Maybe it's the city taking it's revenge on the world but no one will ever know. Instead it will remain a mystery...Written by PianoCullenTo be honest Atlantis was not sunk by Poseidon since Atlantis was his creation and it worshipped only him, from what i have gathered from documentary's and books Atlantis had become such a marvel that the other gods became jealous that Poseidon had made such a perfect creation and they hadn't so they punished Atlantis by sinking it into the sea since they could not punish PoseidonEdited by Irascor

The Norse might have related Njord to Poseidon, or the Romans did so with their god Neptune. All three are sea gods.
It is said to be Neptune's kingdom. Although in Greek mythology Neptune is Poseidon, I believe his kingdom is called something else though. so the answer is no but technically it's yes!

Well, you aren't allowed to sit in a god's throne. If you do, the god will appear and destroy you, but since Percy's dad was Poseidon, his father forgives him. And the answer to the question is, so Percy can talk to his dad. :D hope it helped!
Poseidon and Athena were in a competition for the love of the people of the area around the Acropolis. It was decided that the divinity who created the most useful object would win the right to have the city named for them. Poseidon created horses, but Athena created the olive, and so the capital of Greece is Athens, not Poseidonia.
because nobody knows for sure if it exists or not so whenever people dont know if it is real or not we call it a myth

She was going to start starring in Sanctuary, so she left Atlantis.
