Why do you think Egyptian farming villages banded together and became kingdoms?

Farming communities were formed along the River Nile ca.4000BC. Later two kingdoms were established: Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. In about 3000BC the two kingdoms were united and Egypt became a kingdom under one pharaoh (king).
A rough estimate would suggest 10,000 to 13,000 BCE as the beginning or dawning of civilized Egypt, with small examples of seed gathering, basic farming technologies and ritualistic burials. These were not developed until much later, and reliable records date back only to around 3200 BC.
The Neolithic Revolution, which hunting and gatherer societies transformed into farming villages allowed for people to develop a surplus. Having a surplus allowed for some people to speicialize in other areas (pottery, metal working, textile production, etc.) which in return laid the foundation for the specialization of labor.
Farming and domestication of plants began sometime around 10,000 BCE. The areas where farming began were the Fertile Crescent in Asia, and parts of Egypt and India.
