Cronus wields a scythe as a tool of power and protection, symbolizing his role as the ruler of the Titans and his desire to maintain control. The scythe represents both his agricultural dominion and his readiness to confront threats, particularly from his children, whom he fears will overthrow him. By using the scythe to castrate his father Uranus, he not only protects his own rule but also sets a precedent for violence and betrayal within his family, ultimately leading to his downfall.

Cronus and Saturn are the same character from Greek and Roman mythology, respectively. They were both Titans who were overthrown by their children, with Cronus being overthrown by Zeus and Saturn by Jupiter. Both were associated with time and were often depicted as elderly and wielding a scythe.
Kronos carried around a scythe that weakens you on contact. Even he couldn't withstand the powers of his scythe, and Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades used it to cut him in little pieces then banished him to the deepest pits of Tartarus.
he killed him with the help of his brothers and sisters and some of the titans, during the Titan/god war. he killed him by taking cronus's scythe and cutting him into pieces with it. He then placed the pieces into the deepest part of tarturus, but some belive that Cronus is slowly reforming himself, and that when he is completely restored, he will rise to earth and destroy all humanity.
Saturn is a Titan, and yes, he carries the same style of scythe/sickle that Cronus, his Greek counterpart, does.
In Greek mythology, it is said that Cronus (or Cronos or Kronos), who is actually a Titan, not a god, was chopped to pieces with his own scythe by his son Zeus, and cast into Tartarus. Zeus then took his throne to rule the gods.
Cronus (ΚÏόνος in Greek) was usually depicted with a sickle or scythe. I don't know that I would describe it as a "symbol of power", but it does represent the method by which he came to power: he used a sickle to cut off his father Ouranos' testicles. After Kronos was overthown in turn by his own son Zeus, he was still regarded as the patron deity of the harvest, so the scythe/sickle still makes sense.
Zeus did not kill his father Cronus, he cast him into Tartarus. He did this to rule.
