Because he wants to hear the Siren's song, which is supposed to be so beautiful, it makes sailors jump into the sea to reach them. He has himself lashed to the mast so he can't jump in the water.
To stop them from hearing the Sirens Song. that and he wanted to hear the singing of the sirens because it is told that their voice holds wisdom. so he put wax in his crew's ears so that they wouldn't hear the singing. then they tied him to the head of the ship and sailed. the reason that the crew couldn't hear the singing is if a crew hears the singing the start to drift into the rocks and there they crash.

Eruymachus doesn't stop Odysseus, he helps him kill the suitors. All the suitors die in the end.
Odysseus is certainly a static character. This is demonstrated by his unwillingness to falter in the face of the Sirens, his refusal to let his ship and crew stop in Hawaii, and by his mysterious tendency to not age throughout the entire work, arriving back at Ithaca in the exact shape and mindset he had set out with for Troy. Overall, Odysseus is perhaps one of the greatest static characters in literary history, and is doubtless one of the most noteworthy.
Polyphemos threw the hill at Odysseus, because Odysseus blinded him, escaped his cave, and then threw insults at him from his escape-ship. Polyphemos then begged his father, the god Poseidon, to stop Odysseus from reaching Ithaka at all costs, which is why Poseidon hates Odysseus.
Wax. To stop up their ears so that they could not hear the song of the sirens.
Because no one had heard the sirens sing before and lived to talk about it. Think of what it would have meant to him to know he was the first and only person to be able to hear them sing and live to talk about it.
Odysseus has his crew stop up their ears with beeswax to block the Sirens' song, while he asks to be tied to the mast so he can hear their enchanting song without being able to steer the ship towards danger. This plan allows Odysseus to experience the Sirens' song without falling victim to their lure.

When you hear sirens. Google it first please
Hunt. Their noses and ears can smell and hear from far far away, that is why they have big hears and their nose is non-stop sniffin.
ask it to stop. but remember to say please and thankyou
Odysseus defied the God Poseidon. He also climbs straight up a mountain to save his crew from the witch circe. Also when he crossed paths with the sirens he knew he had to hear the songs so he didnt plug his ears and had his crew hold him down
Sure they can. There are many cases of drunk drivers that are on automatic pilot, that do not hear the sirens, and drive right home, where they are arrested. I don't think there is any laws that say they can not.
"rabbit ears" old name for an antenna
Your ears and nose never stop growing.
