I don't really know, but a long time ago it was created by man to explain the weird things that they couldn't explain, i.e. thunder and lightning (What Zeus did when he was angry), storms, mountains, etc., so I guess its not really essential for us to know, it just helped with the explaining to the "weird happenings" that they could not explain.

It is when some thing is not explainable in a sort of way so they create a myth to explain in a more convincing on how a event had happened so the others would believe you.

How do you write Hades' name in Greek?

Ah, what a lovely question! In Greek, Hades' name is written as "Άδης" which is pronounced as "AH-thees." It's important to remember that the Greek language has its own alphabet and pronunciation, but with practice and patience, you'll be able to write and say it beautifully. Just like painting, learning a new language is a wonderful journey of discovery and growth.

Why was greek mythology so exagerrated?

The Greeks who believed all the greek mythology did not believe it was exaggerated; they believed it was true. So they did not believe it was exaggerated, and so, to them, it was not exaggerated. Now, for us, it is exaggerated because we know how certain things occur; that it's not all done by various gods and such.

There is no main character. Greek Mythology is the way that the Greek people explained things that they didn't know about. For instance when the sun rose and set they thought it was a chariot rising and going around the Earth. Of course now we know we are the ones going around the sun.

Which Greek created Greek mythology?

The tales say that over millenniums of time rocks, planets, etc. crashed together creating the greek titaness Gaea. The dust shot up into the air making a male named Uranus. They populated children and named their race 'titans'. Kind of like the story in the bible 'Adam and Eve'Answer:The Greek scholar and grammarian, Apollodorus, created Greek Mythology. Though it was the Roman poet Ovid who created Roman Mythology and started off the characters that are now in Greek Mythology. (Greek and Roman Mythology are the same, but have a different telling of stories.)

How many Greeks believe in mythology?

I don't know about in modern times, but in Ancient times, virtually all Greeks believed in their gods, which we call Greek Mythology. For the Greeks, their religion was much more important in their lives than religion is for many people today. In fact, their religion was a lifestyle for them. As for modern days, I'm hazarding the guess that there are a lot less people who are greek or live in Greece that believe in ancient Greek Mythology. Hope I helped! :)
