Pacha in Malayalam has two meanings

First meaning is Green Colour; other meaning is "growing fast".

Communism spread in Kerala fast in the middle of 20th century. This plant also spread very fast like Communism and hence was/is called 'Communist Pacha'.

Communist Pacha has a North American origin. It was introduced in Kerala to destroy its agriculture-based, fast spread communism, just like Colorado beetles were introduced in Germany to destroy its potato crops and Communism.

there is onethere reason also behind this in kerala because kerala make many many medisinal or ayurvedic plants.they will not distroy this, theirfor this plant began to known in the name of communist pacha in malayalam
