Are animals ever been able to talk?

Animals cant talk well they do but their own language its like we speak English but they speak animals and we speak English other people could speak Chinese or Japanese or Manderin. Animal brains are organised differently to human brains. The places we use to process the sounds that make up speech are not as large in animals. Relative to our bodies human brains are rather large and a greater percentage is given over to processing speech. Most animal brains arn't large enough to cope with the extra load. Some animals have larger brains, these tend to be animals that live in social groups.

Some scientists have made animal translators, but they are not fully prepared for the public to buy one. Pets have been able to talk, just in their own way. I have heard a dog bark what sounds like in english, "I want my bone"

They were never taught to speak as humans were taught. Just like asking why can't Spanish people Speak Chinese? Because they never learned too. Also they don't have the ability to talk because they don't have vocal cords just like we don't have the ability to breathe in water because we don't have gills. Animals make make different sounds but without a vocal cord, with something else in their throat.

they cannot speak like humans. Animals do not have the same tongue and lip structures to pronounce words. But animals can make sounds to communicate with their own species.
