It is possible to use mothballs for squirrel control, but it is not that effective. A better way would be to hold up a turned down box with a stick, and attach the stick to a string that should be taped above some nuts and then stick the end of the string to some nuts so that when the nuts are moved, the string will be triggered and pull on the stick. The box will trap the squirrel. Then you should slide a big flat piece of plastic or something like that underneath and have other people to help you. Carry the flat side and box with the squirrels in and put it in the trunk of your car. Then drive to a mountain or park that is quite far away from your house. After getting rid of the squirrels, no more should bother you.
