Hi Can you have a blue Sharpei and a black Sharpei be born with a cream father and a fawn mother?
I've noticed Poodle mixes such as Cockapoos, ShihPoos, Pomapoos etc tend to almost look exactly like they did as puppies. Teacup and Tiny Toy Poodles with the baby doll face look like puppies as adults. American Cocker Spaniels still look like puppies as adults sometimes, some Yorki mixes like Morkies also look like puppies as adults. I think fluffy or curly dogs with a shorter nose tend to look more like a puppy as an adult.
I believe they try to kill their puppies cause they know there is something wrong with them, like they have a birth defeact or something.
It will depend on the number of puppies in the litter- the more puppies, the smaller each puppy. They typically weigh ABOUT 16 ounces (one pound) at birth.
Not always. Puppies can take after either parent or a combination of both in terms of appearance. Factors such as genetics, birth order, and upbringing can all play a role in determining how a puppy looks.
I have seen a Papillon have 6 healthy puppies.
There is no way to "make" the puppies look more or less like either parent - only genetics can decide what the puppies will look like. It can take at least several weeks for puppies to develop their characteristics and personality. In the cases of cross-breeds, there really is no way of knowing. Some pups may look more like their mother, some will take after the father more, or they may be a complete mix of the two.
== == Yes, it takes a lot out of the mother giving birth to two or more puppies and she's tired and wants to sleep.
The answer is yes, my friend has a dog that gave birth to 2 puppies on Friday then the next day she had 2 more. So YES its possible.
On average, Chihuahuas have an estimated 2 to 5 puppies per litter. Some have given birth to 7 or more puppies at a time.
