Domestic animals tend to stick together in groups, because there is safety in numbers. Domestic animals also tend to have something called allometrc behavior. Allometric behavior is when one animals performs one action, like say walk towards a pond, then the rest of the group will follow that first animal. Domestic animals is small to medium sized groups have a hierarchy. The animal that dominates over the rest of the group is most likely stronger, bigger, and more powerful than the rest of the group and keeps the other animals in check. If a new animal comes into the group, than that animal will have to fight for leadership from the dominant animal.
