A feral cat basically means a stray cat:

A feral animal means that it is a domesticated species which reverted back to its' natural ways and no longer relies on humans.

If you own a cat then it is not feral but if it does things like, hunting or shows territorial behavior to other cats it is showing natural behavior which is a norm.:)

The best thing to do when you find a lost cat or dog is to take them to your local Humane Society or other animal shelter to see if they are microchipped. If they are, then they can be scanned and returned to their owners. (The information about their owners is contained in the microchip.)

Some visual cues that a cat or dog might be a lost pet include collar; well fed; clean fur and otherwise well groomed.

Please be careful when approaching or handling any unknown cat, dog, or other animal.

By it's left paw....it will be kinda' raised, like "Hey, where's the party peeps?". This is what botanists call the felinis paw thing.
