Zygotic meiosis is the reproductive cycle of the haplontic life cycle. Gametes from adult haploid individuals unite forming the diploid zygote. The zygote undergoes meiosis and generates four haploid cells that by mitosis develop into adult individuals. Therefore in the zygotic meiosis the cell that undergoes meiosis is the zygote and the gametes are formed by mitosis.
TDLR: Effectively, two Haploid cells combine to form a diploid cell which then undergoes meiosis, except the result; gametes are the end product.
Mitosis is the reproductive mechanism by which a haplontic animal grows. Mitosis is the process in the cell cycle by which the chromosomes in the cell nucleus are separated into two identical sets of chromosomes, each in its own nucleus.
The reproductive structure that grows into the haploid generation of a plant is the gametophyte. The gametophyte produces gametes through mitosis, which then fuse to form a diploid zygote during fertilization.

Yes they do they only grow as the the spider`s or other exo animal grows on the outsidemain idea:They exoskeleton only grows as the animal does
The life cycle of fungi is generally described as haplontic, meaning the dominant stage is haploid. They reproduce both sexually and asexually, and their haploid spores germinate to form mycelium. Fungi are heterotrophic organisms, obtaining nutrients by absorbing dissolved molecules or digesting organic material.
