In the wild, the Mandarinfish, or Mandarin Goby lives up to fifteen years. In captivity however, there's ranging ages to which it will live up to. Some aquarists say that their Mandarins have only lived to 1-3, sometimes 5 years. However, given the correct nutrition and care, a Mandarin is able to live 10, maybe 11 years in captivity. Keep in mind however, that all fish in captivity live depending on their care. Survival rates are much better if the fish is captive bred.
