How many animals have been abandoned in America?

Maryann Mott for National Geographic News September 7, 2004 reported that some feline experts now estimate 70 million feral cats live in the United States as a consequence of little effort of population control and of the cat's ability to reproduce very fast.

Well the answer for that is not very phenomenin because there have been over 1,000,000 abandoned animals.That's why you see stray cats,wild dogs,and other animals because they have been abandoned. There is not much of an answer because also there are animals being abandoned everyday and we cant keep up with what animals or how many animals have been abandoned. Though it is impossible to tell exactly how many cats are abandoned, we know that several hundreds of thousands are out there.

This is why it helps to get a cat spayed or nuetered, because then there will be less cats in the world to abandon, and the cats that are already out there get a better chance of finding a home.
