this is a great question, the answer is 16 i once witnessed this at the foot of mordor. and for the record one can not simply walk out of mordor

Since dragons do not currently exist (though they may have at one time), we do not know.

I've only seen dragons lay a few eggs at a time. However I haven't seen any Mordor dragons so I can't tell. It really depends on the species. Lung only lay one egg every 100 or so years. Traditional European dragons lay a few eggs (3-5) every 10 years, and Knucker dragons lay 10 eggs every year. However, like tadpoles, only about 2 will survive to adulthood.
