Well depending on yourinterest Whether you want to spend a lot of time with him/her or not and what your surroundings are like in your home.
I would have to recommend a
~Small hermit crab
~Mouse
~Goldfish
~Rabbits/Hamsters
~Spider
A hermit crab would only set you back about $50 for the tank and features if necessary. Food should only be about $5 for 2 weeks.
A mouse is very easy once again a glass tank is a good idea that should only be about $50. Food should be about $10 for 1 or 2 weeks.
A goldfish is simple you should know the costs a regular fish bowl with pebbles ad a fake or real plant along with food is almost $35.
Rabbits and Hamsters would be a bit more pricey they would need a fair bit of space, so i would recommend a hut for the rabbit and a very large tank for the hamster. All in all that should set you back $95
It may sound crazy but believe me a spider in a wide, tall, glass tub with food and a small bottle cap for water is a GREAT pet at the cost of $25
Hope this helps..

eBay
Should you find a vendor that has some cheap non-combat pets, then sure, you can have a pet on a trial account. You can not, however, use the auction house to purchase a pet.
You would be able to find a variety of pets for sale from either pet wholesalers or other pet breeders who are looking to dump some excess stock (it will generally be somewhat cheaper).
They're cheap pets.
Its an amazing experience, they are great and very cheap pets. They are easy and great first time pets but they are difficult to cuddle 😂

Some pets that are typically inexpensive to buy include fish, hermit crabs, hamsters, and mice. These animals have lower initial costs compared to larger or more exotic pets like dogs or birds. However, it's important to consider ongoing care and maintenance costs before deciding to bring home any pet.
Usually you can find cheap sims games of any kind from EB Games, anywhere from $10 to $18.
theres no such thing as a 'cheap' sugar glider. But you can look on classifyed ads for someones one they cant take care of anymore, those are normally cheap. But gliders are very expensive pets to take care of.
