The top ten tallest mountains are all located in Alaska. The eleventh is Mt. Whitney in California. Mt. Rainer, in Washingtion is ranked seventeenth. Colorado his home to three of the top sixteen and fourteen of the top 29 tallest mountains in the U.S. Mt. Rainer is the only mountain in Washington ranked in the top fifty. Oregon has none in the top fifty. Clifornia has seven.
