I get the slight feeling that simply saying "go away" won't get you any good results, since if an animal isn't previously trained to understand the command, simply saying anything would be rather useless.
Depends on the animal. Some respond differently to ways of trying to scare them away.
Unless the animal speaks english, the best thing to do is make a loud noise... or scare the animal away.
The only thing that I can think of that would make the animal go away is fart...
There isn't anything to say, you have to act bigger than it to scare it away. Make yourself stand tall (or at least taller than the animal) this doesn't work for the cat family and a lot of bugs.
