Bartimaeus is often depicted as a blind beggar, typically portrayed with tattered clothing and a humble appearance. His blindness is a significant aspect of his character, sometimes represented by covered eyes or a cane to aid in navigation. In biblical texts, he is described as calling out to Jesus for help, highlighting his determination and faith despite his physical challenges. Overall, his appearance emphasizes his vulnerability and the stark contrast between his plight and the miracles he seeks.
Not many people today are like blind Bartimaeus. They are more like the Laodicean church, which did not know that they were blind, (Revelation 3.17). If we knew we were spiritually blind, we could also cry out for sight until the Lord heard us, like Bartimaeus!

The story in London is over but Stroud did write a fourth Bartimaeus book about Bartimaeus' time in ancient Jerusalem during the time of king Solomon. It's called "The Ring Of Solomon". Its a pretty good book and i recommend it to any fan wanting to read more of the series.
