I think you mean "cephalopod". A cephalopod is any member of the molluscan class Cephalopoda (which means "head-foot"). These exclusively marine animals (salt water only) are characterized by bilateral body symmetry, a prominent head, and a set of arms or tentacles. Two examples of cephalopods are octopus and squid.
