A Griffin is a mythological creature that is half lion and half eagle, it was popularly depicted in the art of Ancient Greece, though early illustrations have been been found from as far back as 3300 BC. It is commonly depicted as having the posterior body of a lion with the head, wings and fore feet of an eagle.
