Pollution.
No
One example is soil contamination, such as when heap leach methods are used for extracting metals. Another example is erosion due to the removal of surface vegetation.
it is called the prevention of land pollution. That may help to prevent it but what to do after the land is polluted is the real question. Land "soiled" by petroleum coming from leaking fuel tanks for example can be processed to remove the contamination. Other pollutants can often be countered with chemicals that either bind the contamination or neutralize them making them inert. It is not a cheap or easy fix and as mentioned above the best remedy is to not pollute in the first place and practice prevention.

Microbial contamination is the introduction and growth of harmful microorganisms in foods and water, causing food borne illness and even death. Some examples of microbial contamination include botulism, salmonella, and mold.
Indirect contamination occurs when a surface or object becomes contaminated by coming into contact with a contaminated source. For example, if someone with dirty hands touches a doorknob, the doorknob becomes indirectly contaminated with germs from the person's hands.
A bone fragment can be a physical contamination. Some other physical contaminates are glass particles, wood splinters, stones, or metal fragments.
Cross-contamination refers to the transfer of harmful bacteria or other microorganisms from one surface or food to another. It can occur when raw foods come into contact with cooked or ready-to-eat foods, utensils, or food preparation surfaces, leading to potential foodborne illness. Preventing cross-contamination is an important food safety practice in the kitchen.
Gravel pits affect the environment is many ways. Unless the land is reclaimed, erosion is a major concern along with ground and surface water contamination, dust contamination, and damage to the local wildlife and vegetation.
