After the blood bathes the organs and drains from these cavities, it flows into the large sternal sinus. The blood then passes through the gills, becomes oxygenated, and returns to the pericardial. The green glands, located near the base of the antennae, filter out waste as the blood circulates. Then the waste is excreted through a pore just in front of the Crayfish's mouth.
