The lifespan of Lasiodora striatipes, commonly known as the Brazilian striped bird-eating spider, typically ranges from 10 to 15 years in captivity. Female tarantulas generally live longer than males, with females often reaching the upper end of this lifespan. In the wild, their lifespan may be shorter due to environmental factors and predation.
The growth rate of L.Striatipes is said to be the same as Lasiodora Parahybana, lasiodora Klugi, and lasiodora difficilis. In other words: Very Fast. Lasiodora species are one of the quickest growing species of T's. Exact growth rate depends on how well there cared for. Keeping them at warmer temps, providing ample humidity, food and water ensures the fastest growth, that said: without optimum conditions there growth rate slows down drastically. (this is true in all tarantula species. )
First of yes, I have a 3" Lasiodora parahybana and they are grate pets for anyone, I also have a chilean rose and Avicularia Minatrix, if u decide to get another tarantula just don't put them togeather as u know, have fun.
