The #1 pet is a cat. However, there are more homes with dogs. Confusing maybe, but here's an example: For every 10 house, 8 have only one dog. Out of those 10 houses, 5 have cats, but each of those five have 2 cats, so therefore the cat is the most popular pet. The #1 cat breed is the Persian. #1 dog breed is the Labrador.

A dog. Dogs were the first animal to be domesticated. Now they are the most popular house pet!!!!! They are way better than cats. They will come to you when you call them. They will protect you at ALL costs, and they will love you for as long as they live. They are very patient, so you don't have to give them EVERY THING THEY WANT RIGHT WHEN THEY WANT IT. And ALL the things that I just said, that's the opposite for cats. Cats will not come to you when you want them to. You would have to literally drag them to you. That's what ALWAYS happens with me and my Dads cat. There are lots more do breeds than any other animal in the world. They can run faster than a race horse, they can hunt down, and kill a lion, a boar,or a tiger!! They can be smaller than a tea cup, or they can be taller than a pony!! And all of them Have different personalities!!! Not every breed has an in particular personality, every dog does!!!!!! No wonder they are America's favorite house pet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
