There are several ways:

  • Natural oxygen can be made from carbon dioxide by photosynthesis using the chlorophyl in green plants.
  • Oxygen can be liberated form water by electrolysis
  • Oxygen can be collected from the atmosphere by liquifying air and distilling the oxygen out.
