As far as I know, none. What you have described sounds like the females of kinds of wasps called velvet ants. That kind of wasp is in a special family called the Mutillidae. Not all species have the same colour pattern, but most are brightly patterned in one way or another to warn you not to handle them because they can sting painfully. Such coloration is called "warning" or "aposematic" (meaning "keep-away-signal") coloration. They females look like ants because they have no wings, but they are not ants, but parasitic wasps, many of which enter the nests of other wasps, hornets or bees, and lay their eggs where their young can hatch out and eat the food of the host larvae or the larvae themselves, or both. To do this the female must be very tough, and she certainly is.

They are beautiful creatures, and many of them are rare, so watch them or photograph them, but don't hurt them or bother them. If you do, it is your own fault if you get stung and also your fault for destroying something beautiful.
