Tissue regeneration is when an organism regenerates a lost or damamged part; the part regrows so that the oiginal function is restored.
Regeneration is the process by which an organism regrows a damaged or lost body part through the proliferation and differentiation of specialized cells. In some organisms, such as certain amphibians and starfish, cells at the site of injury can dedifferentiate and form a blastema, from which the regrown structure develops. The process is controlled by various genetic and signaling pathways that coordinate cell growth, patterning, and tissue repair.
Regrowing a lost claw in a lobster is an example of asexual reproduction. This process involves regenerating a body part through mitosis from the existing cells of the organism, without the involvement of gametes from two parents.
It is called regeneration.

Regeneration
One example of a substance that is not part of an organism's body is water. Water is essential for life and is present in and around organisms, but it is not considered a part of an organism's body as it can be taken in and eliminated from the body.
An appendage is a part of something which is joined to something longer, a natural projection from any part of an organism, such as an external body part which projects from the body.
An organism with more than one part to it is called a complex organism or multi cellular organism
