Jumbo generally refers to elephants.
Elephant is a jumbo size animal
jumbo means very big so we called it jumbo jet
An oxymoron animal is a term used to describe animals with names that contain contradictory or contrasting words. For example, the term "jumbo shrimp" combines the idea of something large (jumbo) with something small (shrimp), creating an oxymoron.

Yes, you can purchase jumbo gift baskets. However, not all gift baskets come in jumbo sizes. Also, jumbo gift baskets may be expensive.
Well, for a start, elephants can be called anything. Not just 'Jumbo'. But when elephants are called 'Jumbo', how, is an impossible question to ask, but why is answerable. It is often because elephants are MASSIVE and a bit - well, Tubby, if you like, and Jumbo means an enlarged version of something (don't ask me what) and it also means BIG, so we can all agree elephants are certainly very big. Any comments welcome :) No offenses please :( Cheers! ps. I've figuired out 'how' elephants are called jumbo, it's pretty simple - Because the owner of the elephant wants to call them Jumbo. Sounds stupid but it's true. No offence guys! :P
