The Black Robin or Chatham Island Robin(Petroica traversi) is an endangered bird from the Chatham Islands off the east coast of New Zealand. In 1980 only five survived on Little Mangere Island. They were saved from extinction by Don Merton and his Wildlife Service team, and by "Old Blue", the last remaining fertile female.
If that one remaining female had died, then the species would now be extinct.
False.
A species is considered endangered when it is at a very high risk of extinction in the near future. A species is considered threatened when it is likely to become endangered in the foreseeable future if threats continue.
2015 for some species but 2020 if they are lucky.
threatned
It might not but some animals can adapt very quick so it also might.
Not much. While some animals are likely to die, a tornado is unlikely to make a dent in the population of any species.
Most of said species die, if there is a favorable mutation existent in the population that characteristic will become more prevalent. If not the species will most likely go extinct.
If air pollution continues unchecked, animals are likely to experience respiratory issues, habitat destruction, and decline in population due to adverse effects on their health and food sources. Some species may become endangered or even face extinction.
The superior competitor is likely to outcompete the other species for resources, leading to a decrease in the population of the inferior competitor. This could potentially lead to the inferior competitor being displaced or evolving to occupy a different niche to reduce competition.
There are many populations that would not likely have a normal distribution. Endangered species or unsocial animals would be such populations.
Yes. These species are considerably lower than other species in numbers, due to hunting, habitat destruction, or other means. These animals can have from 1,000 to 10,000 left to be considered endangered. Critically endangered species have 200 or less left.
