i, along with hundreds of others, don't believe in abortions, but the sad thing is many people do believe in murder, i know i said murder, but that's exactly what abortion is, unless there is a miscarriage, that's different...

As an alternate viewpoint, many people agree that abortion is "the best choice in a bad situation", or alternately, "the least worst choice". That is, it is entirely possible that carrying to term a pregnancy would cause considerable harm to the woman and/or fetus, and the moral thing to do is abort the fetus. The exact conditions where this harm may outweigh the potential life of the child vary considerably from person to person.

The major debate here is which entity to give legal precedence to: the existing pregnant female, or the potential life of the fetus. The problem is one of who's standing takes precedence when their interests collide?

Also, "murder" is a highly subjective and emotionally loaded term used in reference to abortions, and, frankly, is about as accurate as "slavery by fetus" is from the other side of the argument.
