Lots and lots. There is no end to the number of animals that suffocate each year. The most common I would say is the sea turtle, when plastic bags get washed into the ocean, since sea turtles eat jellyfish, to them they can't tell the difference, and they will actually choke and suffocate on the plastic bag. I use cloth bags now, so hopefully the more people who use cloth, will help put an end to that.
